Why Mormons are not Christians!

Dear reader I Steven Andrews an Evangelist from New Zealand write this post to help expose the idea of Mormons (Later Day Saints) being Christians.

Bible says: And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.

Below is taken from a series of messages I received from a Mormon Missionary here in Ghana.
Please note I have heard similar teachings after meeting many Mormons on the streets of Ghana, and while in New Zealand.

Let me quote what this particular Mormon told me….

Elder ……. says: ‘I want you to know the bible is not perfect . It has plenty of mistakes’….

Later he tells me: ‘When I said the bible has mistakes I meant that things are missing or have been changed’.

He also went onto say: ‘We believe the bible as the word of god, but that it doesn’t have everything we need.Some of the things that have been changed or missing is that: *1 God is not a spirit, *2 It is missing the part talking about Joseph Smith. *3 The need to work for your salvation’

In another message he said: ‘The fall of Adam and Eve is a good thing.’
In another message he said: ‘ We also believe that man can believe and worship god any way they want.’
In another message he says: ‘I know the bible is from god, but has mistakes because it was translated by teachers not prophets. That is why we have the book of Mormon to correct the mistakes’…

Steve says, its obvious that Mormons or Later Day Saints can never be Christians as they reject the very words of Christ….

Jesus said in John 4v 24 “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Besides this mormon told me he does not have salvation…

Reader stay away from Mormon teaching and instead trust/believe in Christ with your heart and confess him (invite him into your life) and then you will be saved. Then walk in obedience to all the teaching of the bible to show the world you are saved…

This was the question I was getting from Vivian a Jehovah Witness girl I met while sharing Christ on the streets this week.
While I was quoting 2 Corinthians 13 verse 5 where it says we need to examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith, examining ourselves looking for what? Is Jesus Christ the un-created one living/dwelling in us. As we need to receive Him so we can become Children of God. John 1v 12 says just that. But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

See Jehovah’s Witness folks and the likes of the Mormon’s too, simply don’t receive Christ and don’t have Him dwelling in them. For one their doctrine about who Jesus is, is too far removed from that as presented by the Holy Spirit through the bible. Its says in 2 John v 9 that if our doctrine about Christ is not correct we have not got the Son (dwelling in us) and if we have not got the Son we have not got the Father either.

So while I kept pressing Vivian about her need to receive Christ, she was insisting that the message I was presenting of Christ in her made no sense. See Jehovah’s Witness rely a lot on reasoning to understand the bible. They even have a book called reasoning from the scriptures. She was saying how could Christ live inside mortal man?

That is a common question that I receive from the JW’s. Yet the biblical response is that unless Christ is in us we cant belong to God or even know God. As man is fallen and born in sin. When we receive Christ His rightness is given to us so we can come to God…….

There is no other way.

I Corinthians 1 v18 tells us that the preaching of the cross is foolish to those that are perishing….

Love and truth out of Africa.

Any deviation from God’s path causes us to lose something most valuable.

After a recent meeting with some members of the Gu-Won-Pa (translated Salvation Sect from Korean) or Good News Mission as they are called here in Ghana (Yet they offer some other truth aside from the good news) I got to do some bible based thinking in the Spirit as you do.

Below, mainly in response to the teaching of Founder Ock Soo Park. Park and his followers who say the following. And is taken from Ock Soo Park’s book “The secret of forgiveness of sin and being born again”………….. They not only say that
repentance after salvation is not needed, but also insist that to repent continually (or even at all) after salvation is the evidence of not being saved so he/she will go directly to Hell fire. They also prohibit the reading of the Lord’s prayer, because it mentioned the forgiveness of sin.

Steve’s response

One…….. Is the Kingdom of God divided? Any church or part of “body of Christ” that is proclaiming they are the only true church is not walking in love and is falling short of the Glory Of God. See 1 Corinthians 12. What I mean is this: One of you says, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas[b]”; still another, “I follow Christ.”
13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul?

Two…….. If we fail to confess our sins, then we will die in them (think/ponder on the seriousness of that), and risk being separated from God forever. See 1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Jesus said in John 8:24 that if our belief about Him is not correct we will die in our sins.
Healing too comes to those who confess their sins to one another. See James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. . Who is the righteous man with the powerful prayer? The one who confesses his sins.

Three…. Christian if you are to be effective in witness you will need the prosperity of God so the resources of God are available to you for outreach. Confess your sins, and walk right with God and He will prosper you as is needed.
Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. Proverbs 28:12-14

Four…… 1Corinthians 12:7 says: Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. The common good, that is for the possibility of all mankind to receive and to be built up. That is your good, and for those you interact with daily. Speaking in tongues for example builds me up as I prepare for a days evangelism. Laying hands on a Muslim who has malaria, and seeing them healed is also very good.

Paul says in 1Corinthians 12:29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? 31 Now eagerly desire the greater gifts.

We know from experience and we see from the scriptures that not all Born of God Christians work miracles or have gifts of healing or speak tongues. Yet plenty do. Even Paul encourages us to seek such gifts.

Jesus said as well in Mark 16:17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;

Mark 16:20 again tells us that God confirms His word through signs. Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

Hebrews 2:3-5 how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. 4 God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

God also helps us see where His truth is through signs, and through the gifts of the Spirit being distributed……..Yet read below.

Reader take note that I have never met one soul in the Good News Mission/Gu-Won_pa who speaks tongues or has the gift of interpretation of tongues. From what I have heard from members speaking in tongues is not something they do? Same for the other gifts of the Spirit.

I even had a zealous young member of the good news mission tell me that when he preaches or speaks righteousness he is speaking in tongues. Yet scripture tells us how tongues manifests. Its through the laying on of hands as Paul did in Acts 19:6 or through the hearing of the word of God. See Acts 10: 44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message.

Five……….. The question remains. How far can we deviate from truth before we do indeed lose our salvation?

Reader, if you are a member of the Good News Mission or are thinking of becoming a follower of Ock Soo park. Please know that you will come to regret doing so on the judgment day, and surely you will not bear as much fruit for God as you could have.

We have done reading of testimonies online of folks who have stopped following Ock Soo Park. It seems that often members speak more about Ock Soo Park then they do of Jesus.
The pride of life as written about in 1 John 2:16 describes Ock Soo Park. As followers are putting their eyes onto him rather than Jesus who is the author of life.

We have new Hindu neighbors.

They like to listen to Bollywood (Indian Movies) all day and night until 1am in the morning at times. The TV has big speakers and its positioned at window height right opposite our bedroom with a 6 foot gap separating us as our rooms face each other. Yet shouting to each from one room to the next, or using a blender at 11pm is now the order of the day. We hear almost all their conversations, even when they are fighting and swearing.

I have communicated with them about changing the position of the TV and about talking quietly, as at times I am awake until 1-2 am listening to Bollywood. Or I can be dosing off and I hear a shout from next door, even though I don’t sleep in the bedroom yet on the floor in the front room as its further away. We also have a teenager in the house who is studying for exams.

Yet they said they don’t want to move the TV as they like to relax and sit back from it a distance. We have been living in our current house for about 5 years and we have had various tenants living opposite. Yet never has the noise level been like this. The previous tenants moved their TV to help keep the noise level down, no problems.

Jesus said that you should love your neighbor as yourself. Now not all the words out of the mouths of religious heads are equal, nor are there many paths to God; no matter how many belong to the religion. Yet because Jesus is God and because He has paid for our sins so we can know God; we had better listen to Him.

Deuteronomy 18:15 says: The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

On a Hindu website http://www.hinduwebsite.com/hinduism/essays/animals.asp They say human life is precious.. Yet I know that after living with Hindus for a month now that they do not believe or practice what they preach, they in fact can’t perform at all as there is no power in Hinduism to do. If they thought we were precious then the TV would have been moved (or at the very least the windows next to the TV closed) and there would have been some modification in behavior like speaking with quiet voices especially at night. In life we can make pretend that we are nice and that we care for our neighbor. Yet when we do not know God, we cant give up our selfish desires to love our neighbors as ourselves.

These are zealous Hindus. Complete with chanting and burning incense, yet material possessions and ones own comfort is more important to them than the neighbors…

Reader if you are a Hindu, please the path you are own will lead to your destruction and in the end you will be separated from God forever. I say this as an observer of people, as an observer who has his soul anchored in Christ (as do all Born Again Christians). At rest we can see what is happening around us. I say this as one who has received Christ. See 1Corinthians 13:5

I know there is no divine spark in our dear Hindu neighbors or any Hindus in fact, same for Muslims etc. No one can do right by their neighbor without having received Christ.

The Bible in the Book of John, Chapter one verse 12 says: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

You see, without that power of God you cannot love your neighbor as yourself; even if you are the best Hindu/Buddhist/Muslim/ traditionalist/Mormon/Jehovah’s Witness on the planet. You in fact do not even know what true love is unless you have repented of your sins, and received the Jesus of the bible into your life. As its only then that the Love of God is shared abroad in our hearts and you are then able to love even the most undesirable in society.

I write this because I care/have Gods love for our neighbors and I am praying for an opportunity to share Christ with them, as I know they are lost, as I once was.

I write this because religion (mans attempt to find God) has only ever failed as we can only come to God on His terms. That is through the precious sacrifice of Jesus on the cross who takes away ours and the sin of the world, and through His power living in us we are made into the image of God. So we can act/perform Like God and Love like God. Romans 10:3 says just that: For they, being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Reader if you have never given your life to Christ then there is no time like now. The bible says today is the day of salvation; and that we should seek the Lord while He maybe found.

If you are a Hindu, I am praying for you as to die without Christ in your life means you will die in your sins and be separated from God forever.

God is the most valuable/precious being. God has an enemy, called Satan. Satan wants to stop man from knowing God, that is why there are many religions, and because the heart of man is rebellious. Yet there is still only one path….

Recently Beauty (my wife) was at a church meeting where a prophet was doing ministry. The prophet came to Beauty during the meeting and asked if we have Indian neighbors. Wow! When Beauty told me later it got my attention. The prophet then went onto say that we needed to be praying for our daughter Aimee (now 6 years) as there were evil spirits trying to attack Aimee through the Hindu worship of our neighbors………

False Church

Steve says hi from Tema. I am a New Zealander living in Ghana and serving the people of Africa as an evangelist. I am married to the daughter of an evangelist and we have two small children. I was originally serving on board the Mercy Ship the Anastasis a vessel that brings free medical and dental care and relief to many. From there the Holy Spirit witnessed to me to be based in Ghana as a full time evangelist.

Please Steve why do you spend time and $ at the email cafe writing such articles?
My reason for writing this and the reason why I give myself to the work of being a witness for Christ is the following: To know God is the most important investment any of us can make, as all life comes from God. Acts 3:15 You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. Yet the path to Him is not a broad one, meaning there are not many ways to God; just one. Plus there is an enemy at work who is seeking to trip us up and stop us from knowing God, so we need to stay alert.

I do not write this to prove that I am right, I do not need to prove anything as I know I am right before God (I could be selfish and keep Him all to myself yet His love compels/motivates me strongly to speak/write to others); or that I am better than anyone. Simply put what God has done for me, He can do for all of us. Simply believe, and trust in the work of Christ on the cross and not in your own efforts. OK.

That one path to God what is it? John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. How do we join/find that path/way? Note below is not necessarily the order as God works individually with each of His Children. Yet each Step is vital for having a vital/real relationship with God.

THE PATH.

• Simply through trusting/having faith in Christ and what he has come to do for us on the cross. For our faith to develop/grow we normally need to hear the gospel, or through prayer for example a remote villager can have visions and dreams and can come to trust in Christ.

• We confess our sins, which is needed so that the darkness in us/hardness of heart can be dealt with. Isaiah 6:10 Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”

• We need to receive Christ into our lives, as in doing so we can then access the power of God which works to develop our character so we can be transformed into His likeness. John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to those who believe in His name.

• This step is really an addition to C) The receiving of Christ/Being Born Again/from Above is the only way we can know God, as it is only when Christ comes to live in us that we are made alive to God. Romans 8:10 If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. 

Oh reader what a wonderful scripture. If Christ is in you, you are alive to God. Your spirit/the breath of life/ your true inner man is tuned in/on the same frequency as God. Your spirit is then able to commune/hear from and speak to God. Enabling you to then please Him and live for Him, and be led by Him, and worship Him, and do His will.

Note: The sin of Adam is in all of us, thereby we are in darkness and separated from the Author of life, even from birth. What is the form of that separation? Its death in our spirit, or that our spirit has really never fully come alive. As a result to do the will of God, or to know Him is an impossibility. Hence our need of the Christ (the Righteous One) within.

Reader can you make your spirit come alive by seeking to do good works/ giving money to the poor etc as the Muslims do? Can you give a new birth to your spirit by being a zealous witness about the kingdom of God as the folks who call themselves Jehovah’s Witness do? Can you give give life to your spirit through being a missionary in a foreign nation as the Mormons/later day Saints seek to do for a year of their lives. The answer is no to all of the above. Simply receive Christ

Steven are you saying there is no good deed or act that I can do to make myself right with God? Yep you got it, just believe and receive. Simple. Then let the living waters within flow through you to others.

Do not let Satan/folks trick you by saying you have to prove yourselves pleasing to God by being obedient and enduring to the end before you can say you are qualified to be a Child of God. It’s Christ in you which qualifies you. Its Christ in you that enables you to endure to the end. It’s Christ in you that enables you to have the fruit of the spirit, it’s Christ in you that enables you to even be obedient to God in the first place. There that is it dear reader it’s all about Him, and not about us at all. He is the One whom makes/enables us to be obedient.

Then Steven what is my role/part to play? John 7:38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” That is your work to believe in Him. John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, “This is the work of God: that ye believe in Him whom He hath sent.”  That is your witnessing to let the living waters within you flow out. Meaning you speak and share your life with others. Simple, yet you do so living with a trust in Christ that He has done it all for you, then you can truly be a channel for the Holy Spirit to minister through you. Amen.

Steven why are you in Ghana? I am here because I trust God, and I know His plan is the best for me. I am here not to gain salvation/Christ as I have him/that already. I am here so his Spirit/living waters can reach many. God said go!

The reason for the title Good News mission? IYF Gu-Won-Pa? Here in Ghana we have a cult/false path which originates out of Korea, and is run by Ock Soo Park. Its goes under another name in Korea of Gu-Won-Pa which is the salvation sect. Recently I met some of their members from the Tema branch, and instantly I was aware of these two your men putting a strange twist/spin upon knowing God, and salvation.

They teach that after receiving Christ there is no need for further confession of sin. In fact they say if you confess you are a sinner you will not be going to heaven, as only the righteous go to Heaven. They teach as well that only the Good news Mission? is the true church. That the pastors and members of other churches are not saved.

Steve what do you say? The body of Christ is not divided. In a lot of different churches like Pentecost/Methodist/Presbyterian/Baptist etc, there are true Christians (Who have Christ within and who are seeking to let the living waters flow out of them). I asked the two young men from The Good News Mission? if they or their church manifests/uses the gifts of the Holy Spirit like speaking in tongues. They said no.

Yet God uses the gifts like tongues to confirm that His gift of salvation is present with those who are using the gifts. He also uses the gifts of the Spirit so that mans faith/trust would be placed/focused in the power of God rather than in the wisdom of men. See 1Corinthians 2.

Steve further says. The Christ within, the One who tore the veil in two so we could enter the Holy of Holies (the very presence of God) so we can be with God even as we walk on earth. The Christ within who is our hope of glory, Colossians 1:27 to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Its Christ within is who is our hope and confidence for Glory/Heaven.

Not as the members of Good News? teach, whereby when you receive Christ you are instantly made perfect and have no need of further repentance.

Steve says. It is a wonderful and humbling thing to be able to come to God at any moment and confess our sin/falling short of his standard. In fact confession stops our heart from becoming hardened, and is part of that turning back to God process needed after sinning.

Steve says. It is a most wonderful thing to know God and to be in His presence even while in this life and while on earth, in fact we are encouraged to come to God with boldness (Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.)

If we can have access to God while we are alive, I say most confidently/boldly that we who have Christ within and who seek to please God will have access to Heaven, not simply as a result of saying we have no sin. Hey He knows us, we can’t hide from Him. He knows we are sinners yet He chooses to give us the way of right being. Its Christ within making us right with God, the Christ within making us fit/ready/prepared for Heaven.

It’s having the Christ Within who has enabled us to enter heaven now from earth and later when we depart from this earth.

Coca Cola and the Good News Mission a bad mix?

I have found out as well that Ock Soo Park likes to arrange marriages for his members. Rather than allowing romance and natural affection to play a role. Natural affection is so important in a marriage, as is romance. Romans 1:30-31 without natural affection……..

Various Churches in Korea have made official statements about the Good News Mission?, IYF (International Youth Fellowship, which is used to suck in the youth), and the Gu-Won-Pa. The Presbyterian Church of Korea, The Korean Evangelical Holiness Church, The Presbyterian Church of Korea and others have stated that The Good News Mission? is heretical/departs from established beliefs. …. In a letter from Rev. Won Tae Cho, Secretary of the Korean Presbyterian Church of Council, he warned on the “dangers of Ock Soo Park’s Good News Mission” and pointing out that “not only do the members of the cult tempt Christians of third world countries using aggressive tactics funded by their abundant capital, but recently they infiltrated healthy Korean churches here in America”. “Because it is now difficult for this cult to operate in Korea, it has set its sights overseas………………

There are also various testimonies on the internet featuring individuals who escaped from the Good News Mission?/Gu-Won-Pa. If you type in the following onto a web browser you will read such a testimony http://forum.rickross.com/read.php?12,80334,80482. Where the writer an ex-member says that the Good News members live in fear of making a mistake and being kicked out of the mission. I have read about others saying the members talk more about Ock Soo Park than they do of Jesus.

Dear reader I encourage you to do research for yourself. Yet if you want to come into a full relationship with God I can say that The Good News Mission?/ Gu-Won-Pa is not for you.

Remember I said at the top of the page that to know God is the most valuable investment. Truly if you want to know Him leave the Good News Mission? Rather the mission should be named The Bad News Mission/The Controlling Mission or some other such name.

I would like to say that I Love JW’s in fact if it was possible I would lay down my life so they could come to Christ. Yet their theology I hate. I look on their theology as being lazy. Meaning its neither proved or worked through………………Read on.

On my way to church this morning, I met two elderly men who called themselves Jehovah’s Witnesses (JW’s). I have met them before.

They refer to me as the “born again” man, as I have been warning them to repent and to be “born again” as Jesus said it is the only way we can enter the kingdom of God.

The jehovah’s Witnesses for some reason say only 144 000 can be “born again”. Yet 1 John 5:18 says…We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin, so then the JW’s must enjoy sinning?

Together we looked at the 2Corinthians13:5 Scripture……... Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?

My two JW friends were insisting that this scripture is not to be taken literal (literal words denote what they mean according to common usage), but my JW friends were saying that its figurative language that is being used here. Wow that is dangerous and lazy thinking………….Is the whole bible then to be seen as being figurative?

You can see the error that folks who use the bible can get into unless they are led/kept by the Holy Spirit.

Does it mean then that the other almost 12 clear references to a Christian having Christ living in them are also figurative in language use, and mean something other than what has been taught by the Church throughout its history?

Lets look at some of those other scriptures.

Colossians 2:6 just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, +
Galatians 2:20 Christ lives in me. + Ephesians 3:17 Christ may dwell in your hearts + Romans 8:10 But if Christ is in you, + Colossians 1:27 Christ in you, the hope of glory. + 2Timothy 4:22 The Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. + John 15:4 I in you + John 15:5 and I in him, + John 1:12 Yet to all who received him, + 1 John 5:12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. + John 14:23 and we will come to him and make our home with him. + Romans 8:9 And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. + 2John1:9 He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. + Other scriptures like 1John 4:13 and 1John 4:4 etc……

These days I take Jehovah’s Witness folks less and less seriously. I see that they have really bad theology. In fact its so bad that they stop themselves from ever entering the kingdom of God.

Our response then: We need to love the JW’s and pray for them and ask God to deliver them.

Here In Ghana with its many villages we are looking for sponsors to enable us to place Christian Educators in many of the more rural villages to start with.

The idea is to provide a clean and safe environment for the young children to be left in while the parents go to the farm. In many of these more impoverished areas often we see even 6 month old infants being left in the care of 3 year old siblings, as the poverty drives both parents to work.

We would sponsor a local Christian who has a heart for child evangelism to run a drop in care centre for these dear children. A place where they can be loved and hear the good news of God’s Love.

Truth #1 We see God. 2Corinthians 13:5 says……..Test yourselves [to see] if you are in the faith. Examine yourselves. Or do you not recognize for yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless you fail the test.

We are looking for something/someone that is Christ in us.
When we receive Christ, we can see him/God, as he has come to abide within us.

Also. John 14:21 says…….. He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

If you have the correct religion you too can see God.

Truth #2 Our physical appearance improves. When I have received Jesus and I have the Power of God (John 1:12) I have the ability to overcome bad habits. Such as eating poorly and lack of exercise, and smoking. Cravings too for sugary foods will diminish as I am made whole in Him.

When Christ is in me I also have the ability to love my self and to care for my body, meaning that I will give it good foods.

Jesus said His yoke is light. This is good news as many of us are weighed down by worldly worries and burdens. His yoke makes life easier and as a result our posture can improve as we shake off the excess burdens.

Satan and his demons come to steal, kill and destroy. Some people have unclean spirits within, these spirits work against us. In Jesus we can be delivered and set free and whole, deliverance certainly can improve our physical appearance as it can mean rest and good sleep…………………

Truth #3 I speak Less. Proverbs 10:19 says, When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise.
When we come to Christ we have the understanding that we need to be careful with our speech.

Truth #4 We can love fully. Romans 5:5 says, God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

This is an actual manifestation of love into our hearts, enabling us to love anyone. Even our enemies.

Truth #5 We become better listeners. When Christ is in us he strengthens us and establishes us. This allows us to be still in life and we are much better at listening.

Truth #6 We become zealous for Excellence. Indeed in every area of our life we are now enabled and we have a desire to produce excellence in all we do as we are aware that we have to answer to God for how we have lived on Earth.

Truth #7 We become aware of how important details are. When we are illuminated upon receiving Christ certain things have more value in our lives. For example we see the importance of correcting young children when they tell lies. This is because we see the consequences of someone growing up and continuing to lie.

Truth #8 If called to we can endure incredible hardships without being crushed or discouraged. We do this by following the example of our Master Jesus. Hebrews 12:2 tells us that Jesus endured the cross for the joy set before him. If God is leading us through a time of trial, we go through the trials without being crushed by keeping our eyes on eternity. Amen

Truth #9 He must increase and I must decrease. When we are illuminated through receiving Christ we lose confidence in self and transfer our trust to Him. Previously if we were independent and self reliant we see that God wants us to put our trust in Him………………

Truth #10 We change from being self dependent to being God dependent. Romans 8 verse 8 says. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. So without Christ living in us we cannot do anything of eternal value………….

Truth #11 We have order in our life. We serve a God of order and as we have His nature, consequently order is produced in our lives. Job 25:2 “Dominion and awe belong to God;
he establishes order in the heights of heaven.

Truth #12 We are content. Purity brings contentment. We are washed/cleansed made pure by the word. Then we see God. Matt 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. When we see Him, our hearts are at rest.

Truth #13 We have received. So we give freely. We speak to others because of what God has given us. We are grateful so we give.

So if there is evidence of these things happening in your life……………You can say I am in the religion that God has chosen for all of us.

African Revival Mission.

In an age when sadly many have no faith/trust or belief in God. I would like to testify to the following.

That in 2008, under the leading of the Holy Spirit that I was delivered from a road accident. This was none other than the work of the Holy Spirit, or in other words Christ who lives in me spoke to me warning me to jump out of the way of a car that was coming from behind……….

I was walking home down a narrow sealed road towards Coco Beach resort. I was on the very edge of the seal on the left hand side, it was at 10pm. I could see a light shinning behind me from an approaching car. Yet I was relaxed as I know that in Ghana if there is a problem on the roads, the drivers usually use their car horn to warn you to get off the road. So right at that time I knew my own mind that I was relaxed and not concerned about the car coming from behind.

Yet in accordance with Romans 8 verse 16, where the Holy Spirit testifies to our spirit that we are children of God; the Holy Spirit also at this time spoke to me and stirred me up in my spirit warning me that I needed to look behind me.

I turned around to see not only one car but a second which was overtaking the first. Hence I was right in front of the car that had crossed to my side of the road.

I only had time to jump off the road as the car went whizzing by.

So there it is a child of God being delivered from calamity, and maybe even death through the provision of Our Heavenly Father.

Lessons learned:
1- Its better to learn to listen to the Holy Spirit/Christ within than it is to lean on my own understanding.
2- That God is more than capable of taking care of His creation.
3- That God is not removed from our situation but is intimate with it, and us. He understands our needs.
4- He knows the solution to our needs, and He can deliver. He understood the situation and knew the exact time to warn me to get off the road.
5-God’s timing is best, and see He has provided me with a testimony as well.

Please reader let me encourage you to give yourselves to Christ and then learn to be led by Him.
Dont be like some groups of people who say that God doesnt speak today. If that was the case then maybe I would be dead now?

Besides as it says in Hebrews 3 verse 7-8 So, as the Holy Spirit says:
“Today, if you hear his voice,
8 do not harden your hearts………………………

If we are tempted to sin the Holy Spirit can warn us. We can hence be delivered from a lot of difficulties.

Dear reader let me introduce to you the wonderful family God has blessed me with here in Ghana. Little did I know way back in 1998 as the Holy Spirit whispered to me, “all you want in life will be found in Ghana” that I would end up with such an amazing family.

From the left our dear Aimee almost 4 1/2 years, then Beauty who I married in 2005, me and Bradley, who will be 2 next month (he has been talking freely now for about 6 months, I thought it was only young girls that liked to talk so much). We are blessed beyond measure……..

I daily thank my Father in Heaven for such precious gifts.

Please continue to pray for us so we can display the love of Christ that is in us to other families and individuals in Africa.
That the grace and power of God will continue to poured out on us so we can stay in unity and in the Spirit so that many can be won into the kingdom. That the work of the perfecting of the saints can continue.
